I woke up the following morning to bright sunlight streaming through a slit in my bedroom curtain. Today is the day. Today is the day I turn eighteen. I sigh and stretch as I sit up in bed. I roll over and grab my phone off my bedside table. I look and see that I have seven missed text messages. I open them up and realize that Cheyenne, Demitri, Zach, Levi, Drake, Uriel, and Chris have all sent me birthday messages and are excited to see me tonight.
