After I hang up the phone with Drake, Demitri walks straight into our bedroom and frowns. I am mad at him for what has happened and I don’t know how to respond to seeing him standing in our doorway. He inhales deeply as he closes the door softly behind him and moves deeper into the bedroom. “Darling… Are you awake?” I scoff and roll my eyes as I roll onto my side and away from him. He sighs as he moves closer to the bed and I feel his weight sag the mattress down next to me. “I take it you are awake… Look, why don’t we talk about all of this, Darling? It will make things so much better on the two of us if we communicate with one another instead of shutting down and shutting each other out.”
