Life right now was one meeting after another. It wasn’t something any of us wanted to do but what we had to do. It was simply something we needed to accept.
As pack leader, I was used to leading so when Lia asked me to come with her to go meet with a dragon ambassador, I was ready. She hadn’t so much as said the words and I was already on my feet, running towards the door.
When we got to the city hall building, Lia looked tense. She had narrowed eyes and was glaring at the closed doors.
I adjusted my jacket while Lia stood a few feet away, arms crossed, staring off like she could already hear the argument waiting for us on the other side of those doors.
