They understood that if we didn’t do this and strike a deal with the Rosewater Clan then we were thoroughly f****d. And so was the world. I almost couldn’t blame the coven for deciding to let it burn. They weren’t as powerful as they once were, and their hard work at looking over the dragons was now over. But they never told us this.
