“Are you sure you want to do this?” Cade asked as everyone gathered around.
We were in our caps and gowns and I was the only one here who was heavily pregnant. I was almost 40 weeks pregnant on the dot and this boy was being stubborn about coming out. Regardless of that fact, I wanted to walk across the stage. I wanted to show everyone that I did it, that I was able to graduate despite everything in my life that lines up against me. That I prevailed, I triumphed over every obstacle that wanted to block my way.
