“Well, since you want to know. Do you think Cade really loves you? He's using you. There is no love. Cade doesn't know how to love. I'm sure you've heard about his reputation. He's slept with over half of the school. So what could he possibly want with the shy, weirdo who never talked to anyone? The girl who got beat up by her daddy and had no one to turn to. Why do you think he would want you?” she started.
I hate to admit it, but I've thought about all of this before. I've always thought, why me? Why did he choose me? I was a nobody and he was Mr Popular. I was about to interrupt when she started talking again.
“None of it was real. It was all a game. A bet.” she had a smile of victory on her face and I just shook my head.
