**Kai's POV**
Ever since Penelope and I have been back, we haven't had any time together. None. Still respecting her space, she sleeps in the guest room in my cabin, so we only see each other in passing around the village because we have been going to bed and waking up at completely different times. It's driving me insane knowing the woman that I fell in love has chosen me, but it seems she is still out of reach. My wolf has even started to feel the sting of the distance, and I have not felt like myself in weeks.
Every time I hope that things are going to start to slow down, and I'll get time with Penelope, something comes up for one of us and there is more time we are apart. I was so sure I was going to get home early and finally have dinner and hopefully talk with Penelope, but Adira
