Adam and I have quite the long walk back to the hotel since we strayed so far to get that drink. My ears are frozen, my nose and hands too, not to mention my toes, but I can’t complain. OK, fine, I’m silently complaining, but who wouldn’t? One would think that with the moderate amount of drinking I did tonight - because I swore never to get drunk again and still holding on to that - I wouldn’t feel the cold as badly, yet I am. And my feet are cramping up. I stop and move to take my shoes off. I nearly fall, so I have to steady myself on my feet. “Oups.” I giggle a bit too cheerfully. That signals Adam that I’m no longer next to him, but have fallen behind. In the most comical and cartoon like scene, he turns around and frowns upon not seeing me. “Lily?” “Down here.” I giggle some more.
