Alicia feels the cuffs cutting into her wrists and ankles as she struggles to get out of them, but it’s no use. Whoever is keeping her here doesn’t even take them off for her to eat. When she has to use the bathroom, he puts a pair of cuffs on that have a chain. The chain is just long enough for her to walk with small steps but not nearly long enough to run with.
