“What do we do now?” I asked after a period of silence.
“We continue on with our lives” Dylan looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language.
“That’s right” Scarlett agreed, “we decided months ago that we weren’t going to give Remy the power to rule our lives. We knew when Stacia and Akito started being seen in public that this would probably happen. I’m with Dylan, I think we should come up with different safety precautions and move on.”
“For what it’s worth, I agree with them” Suke said gently but firmly.
“I think that’s worth quite a bit” Bastien said.
“Everyone in this room is more powerful than she is in one form or another” Suke continued. “None of us should cower from her or anyone she sends to do her dirty work.”
