“Ada, I swear we’ll get clean water in as soon as we put a stop to this,” Seth tells my mate.
“They need it now!” she exclaims, crossing her arms and stomping her foot in front of him. This isn’t an in-law spat. This is an argument between an Alpha and her King. She’s so damn sexy right now.
Seth pinches his nose. “I’m aware, but we need the element of surprise. If I start sending clean water out, they’ll know. We’re going in tonight. Stay here with Carrie, and as soon as it’s over, I’ll get the water.”
She’s still angry, but she doesn’t push him. Jareth and Benjamin smile at her like two proud dads watching their pup take their first steps. Carrie tugs her arm and takes her to the packhouse, promising she can finally sleep.
