I can’t believe I did this to my daughter. I’ve got to be the worst mother ever. She’s barely a year old, and I forced her to become the Alpha of a pack.
Calvin has been sitting beside me on the swing on the balcony. He’s held my hand and let me think, not once forcing me to talk about it. I’m sure he can feel my emotions through the bond. It can’t be good.
He lifts me and pulls me into his lap. He doesn’t ask to touch me like he usually does, but I like it. I curl into his chest and finally cry. I’m safe with him. He loves me and Katya. He’ll keep her safe, too.
