I’m on my knee before Ada, trying to make her as comfortable as possible. She’s so scared. Her skin has a layer of sweat on it, and her cheeks are pink, but it’s chilly outside.
“What do you need?” I finally ask.
“Can I have some water?” she asks, her voice hoarse. “It’s been days.”
Shit. I should have realized. I nod and stand, holding her hand tightly. “I don’t honestly know where anything is,” I tell her awkwardly. I come across the same omega who showed me to my room earlier. She looks shocked at the sight of Ada.
“Alpha, you found her?” she asks.
I relax when she doesn’t say anything stupid about how she looks. “I did. Could you get Ada some water?”
