I’m in bed watching TV when my phone buzzes. I roll my eyes but relax when I see it’s Ada in our group chat.
-No name yet, but I’ll get it before either of you.
I have, not for one second since we made the bet, thought anyone other than Ada would get the name of Benjamin’s wolf. Still, I’m dying to know.
As expected, I’ve barely seen my mate since we got home with the books. She has them locked in a room with spells on them for safety and spends most of her time in there. We agreed she’d stay out tomorrow and hike around the palace as a family, so I won’t bother her tonight. She can stay as long as she’d like.
When my phone rings, I expect it to be Ada. I’m shocked to see Jareth calling this late.
“Hello?”
“King Seth, I think I may have a problem.” My heart sinks.
