I’m upset, but I’m trying to push it down so Ada won’t feel it. Seth didn’t have to give her options. I don’t want her to sit down with Dad. I don’t want her to have to worry about this now. She needs to rest and heal, not worry about a f*****g pack that abused her.
“What did I do wrong?” she asks me softly.
I shake my head. I guess I didn’t do a good job of not letting that slip through the bond. “Nothing at all, Ada. It’s just me.”
She nods but looks down. She doesn’t believe me. I know she doesn’t, but I don’t know how to explain it.
