EMILY’S POV For several minutes, I couldn't move and just stared at Larkin. A wave of emotions crashed over me, but resentment loomed above all. For the past few months, sadness could be seen in my eyes even if I was smiling, a constant reminder of days I had spent struggling to move on without him. It pained me to think that I might be the only one still hurting, while Larkin was off enjoying himself with Hannah. Instead of greeting him, I turned my back on him and made my way back to my desk. .My manager had given me instructions to stamp some documents, so I began to work on them, though my trembling hands made it difficult. I tried not to look at Larkin, but the urge to glance in his direction was too strong to resist. I caught Larkin looking at me, but I couldn't read the emotions
