The drive to the where ever it was that Nicholas intended on taking me had been filled with me asking him where we were going and him seriously refusing to answer my question . All suspicion of it being some fancy restaurant or getaway had been ruled out for the reason being that Nicholas was far too determined and appeared to be invested in whatever he had planned . I was out of guesses really , unable to think of anything else and feeling the need to be careful around it .
Whatever this meaningful subject was to him , I did not want to unintentionally offend him in anyway .
