It would have been better if I had made a lengthy detour . Maybe grabbed a bite or even just dessert , anything to not be in this situation right now . I was exhausted from my limited sleep from the previous night not to mention this banquet had been taxing too .
I did try my best to get rid of Nicholas . To ignore him and retreat the moment his grasp had loosened around my hand but he kept following me silently .
