The sound of rain pelting against the windows of my bedroom had stirred me awake . I sat upright on my queen sized bed right before a flash of lightening flickered through the room . I braced myself for the thunder that would soon follow and , as expected , a cloud shattering sound echoed loudly , vibrating my chest and even the base of my bed .
I rubbed my eyes , thankful that the thunder didn' t scare me too easily . Hoping that it was still the middle of the night and not a dark , gloomy early morning like the sky outside indicated , I glanced at the ovular bed side clock to see it read seven thirty . I groaned and fell against the bed really not feeling like getting up and ready for work again .
