The night had began to creep in above the New York sky but the city was brightly lit at this time of the evening which made for a pretty sight . The street lights along the way had kept things bright in quest to redeem myself and make some rights . Not willing to be delusional this time around , I kept plenty of room open for disappointment tonight and I was prepared for things to go both ways .
No doubt that he was never going to forgive me over a span of hours , maybe even days , but I had to - at least - apologize and express my thanks for his gesture . Whether he accepted it or not was an entirely different question but one problem at a time .
For now , I was content at just going on with my plan . I took the exit on the right and didn' t have to drive for that much longer to reach
