My heart became erratic as my mind played the reel of Lucas kissing. I didn't expect in my wildest dreams that he would kiss me and even say those words.
As we walked back to the palace we both didn't utter a word. He held my hand all the way back inside the palace. The way tightened his hold on my hand like I would disappear if he loosened his hold.
