I didn't know when I fell asleep but when I woke up the sky was already starting to get dark. I opened my eyes and the room was illuminated by a dim light. I tilted my head to the side and saw Lucas also fall asleep, his head resting on the bedboard.
I slowly sat up on the bed and tried not to make any sound. I looked at his sleeping face and smiled, his brows were furrowed together, and he was tense in his sleep too.
I tried to smooth the lines on his forehead but before my hand could touch his skin he caught it in midway, making me gasp.
" You weren't sleeping?" I asked.
" No, I was thinking about something," she said as he opened his eyes and looked at me lovingly. He placed my hand on his chest above his heart.
