Your petals shine all so bright With the sun's rays reflecting off them Morning dew is visible on every leaf So tiny they're even on your stem You bring color to the world And nectar for the butterflies Your thorns keep you safe From flower pickers walking by When I look out my window I only see your beauty Displaying yellow, pink and purple For a rose bush, you sure are a cutie Your stems climb up the trellis Giving more of you to view I wish I could see your beauty In the dead of winter, too Seeing you gives me hope For better days to come When you start to bloom in Spring I gaze at you and hum Your aroma fills the air With a sweetness so strong A smile lights up my face While I sing your song We used to have the most beautiful climbing rose bush.  It was a Joseph
