Ryker's POV:
Everyone looked panicked, tired, pale-faced, exhausted, and strung so tight they looked ready to snap, when I reached the pack with Tiya in tow. The air felt thin, like it had been sucked from the room and replaced with static.
The voices grew as wolves trampled around.
Noah’s eyes widened when he saw her, but he didn’t ask anything. Of course, this wasn't the time for that.
“Are you sure she’s gone?” I asked, my voice low but rough.
“We searched everywhere,” Cara said, her head shaking, fingers trembling as she clutched her phone. “She’s gone. And I can’t… I can’t mind-link her. Or Ryker. I also tried calling Rhys, but he’s not answering either.” She looked up at me, eyes wide with something close to fear. “It must be that f*****g James—”
