Sunglasses cover my eyes as the wind whips against my cheeks. Tilting my face toward the sun, I enjoy the heat as it warms my skin. It's a lazy Sunday afternoon. Dominic sent his car for me three hours ago, and we've been out on his sailboat ever since. On a beautiful September afternoon, when the sun is high and bright, and there's nary a cloud in the sky, there's no better place to be than floating on Lake Michigan. Dominic bought the house fifteen years ago, so this place has always felt like home. There are many happy, cherished memories here. Childhood memories. Memories of my parents.
