I sat at the kitchen table with my head in my hands. I was tired, even though it was early, and my head had been spinning since I woke up, but by the time I got down to the kitchen I just couldn't bring myself to make breakfast. There was barely anything left, anyway. I hadn't been able to go shopping for days and now that I actually needed to go out, it was Sunday morning and nothing would be open until tomorrow. Daniel had barely left my side since he told me I was pregnant, and it meant there had been a few brief moments that felt almost normal in between my fear of what the future was going to hold and the reality of what Daniel really was.
