“Everything is got to be alright,” Carrie said, patting her on her back. “We’ll find a way. We always do.”
“Yeah,” Sky said, wiping her tears away. “You’ve helped me through the impossible. And you stood by me even when I thought I wouldn't make it. We will be with you every step of the way. Don’t worry.”
Mystic nodded.
“Here,” Mikaela said, handing her a glass of water.
“Thank you,” Mystic said, drinking it down. They walked to the kitchen island and sat on the stools. They sat there in silence contemplating the situation they were about to face. Mystic felt blessed to be around people who cared about her. She was grateful because she thought she’d have to go through this alone. But she wasn’t alone. She had friends who had her back.
