Later, Aiken called back. Andrew picked up his phone and Laurence kept staring at him.
Andrew listened and then frowned.
Seeing that, Laurence closed her eyes with desperation, thinking that her lie was revealed and she would be screwed. She wondered if Andrew would suspect her as a girl because of this.
“I’ll look for your sister as soon as possible. After all, she saved my life.”
Laurence heard Andrew saying that. She was surprised and opened her eyes to look at Andrew.
“Look for my sister?” She asked, pointing at herself.
Andrew nodded and then squinted.
“What? Don’t you want to find her?”
“No, I mean… Thank you, Andrew. I didn’t expect to find her.”
