“You don’t need to prepare dinner for her, I’ve got it already.”  Cathy walked into Laraine’s room with a thermos container in her hand. She was wearing causal clothing with a baseball cap on her head as if trying to conceal her identity, but Laraine knew exactly who she was from her gait.      “What the f**k are you doing here?” Laraine asked. She wanted to yell loudly at Cathy, but she did not have any energy. Why did she not just leave her alone! Why were the Hills after her!? “Oh, I heard from Abby that you got hurt, so I made chicken soup for you.” Cathy held out a thermos. “Consider this an apology for everything I have caused you.” Cathy looked at Laraine apologetically.     Laraine laughed out loud, almost maniacally. Was she stupid to believe her now, after Cathy had tried to attack her twice!? Did she not get a hint the last two times? “Why are you laughing?” Cathy asked smiling.  Laraine looked at her quizzically. Was she insane? Seeing Cathy’s expression, Laraine only felt disgusted, “I’m laughing because you still seem to think that we are a thing.”   Cathy simply laughed and looked at Hale, “You can leave now, I can take care of her.” Cathy said to Hale pretending to look caring and concerned. Hale had already heard the episodes that happened between Laurence and Cathy so she was curious why Cathy Hill was here now. “Are you sure Ma’am? Mr. Jones told me I was to stay with Miss Jones. He did not notify me that you are coming?” Hale replied. Cathy simply waved her hand. “Yes, yes, don’t worry. He knows I’m here.”   Hale nodded and left the ward. If Andrew knew she was here, then she guessed it was alright to leave Laurence. Hale turned around and left the room missing the desperate look in Laraine’s eyes. “Hale!” Laraine called after her; however, she was already out the door. “Laurence, you don’t need her! I can take good care of you.” Cathy cooed to her while pulling a chair right near her bed on the injured side of Laraine. She opened the thermos container. Immediately, the smell of chicken soup blew out and enveloped the room. Laraine had to admit it smelled quite delicious, but she was not about to fall in another trap.   “Laurence, I cooked it myself. Do you want to taste it?” Cathy asked and pushed a spoon near her face. Laraine slapped the spoon away which clattered on the floor loudly. The warm soup spilled everywhere, mostly on her hospital gown and a bit on Cathy’s clothes. “What the f**k was that for?” Cathy yelled. “You are f*****g delusional! You think I want your f*****g soup? Well, here is a wakeup call for you! NO! I do not want anything from you! I do not want to see you! Just leave me…OW!” Laraine was yelling at Cathy when she felt a sharp pain shoot up her arm.   “Oh Gosh! Are you okay?” Cathy put the soup down and started coddling Laraine trying to put pillows underneath her arm. “Don’t stress! You are still hurt! Here, just lie back down.” Laraine nodded and laid back with the help of Cathy. She had probably moved her arm while she was yelling. “Laurence, I think you are under a misunderstanding. I really care for you and everything I did was to have you.” Cathy gently touched Laraine’s arm. “Cathy, don’t f*****g touch me!” Laraine said sharply, without hiding her disgust. “I’m not into girls.” Laraine rolled her eyes and looked away towards the window finding Cathy’s actions weird.   Cathy’s eyes were furious. She had always gotten what she wanted; boys and girls fell over their feet for her and here she was, offering herself to Laurence and she was rejecting her!? “Laurence, I do not really understand you. We make a great couple. If not a couple right now, why don’t we start off as friends? We can be friends, right?” Laraine rolled her eyes again; she had a feeling her eyes would get stuck like that if she spent any more time with Cathy.  “That could have been a possibility if you did not try to f*****g drug me!”   Cathy sighed and looked away dropping the subject for now. It was no use when Laurence was this riled up towards her. “Hey, I meant to ask you, what is going on between you and Abby? Are you two friends?” Cathy asked with genuine interest. Laraine was immediately alert when Abby’s name came up, she knew Abby was not good news! “What do you mean?” Laraine asked. Cathy took out her phone out and showed Laraine a photo. The photo was taken when Abby had met Laraine at the mall. In the photo, Abby and Laraine could be seen talking as if they were old friends.  “Nothing – she recognized me and just wanted to talk.” Laraine kept it vague. “Well you should be careful. She is an evil one!” Cathy replied. Laraine rolled her eyes and thought, you are the one to talk!   Suddenly Laraine heard the sound of a picture being taken. She looked towards the door and saw a female in a nurse’s uniform taking a picture of Cathy and her with her cell phone. “HEY!” Laraine shouted but it was of no use. The nurse ran off already taken a picture of Cathy sitting near Laraine as if caring for her while she was injured.     Before long, the photo of Laraine and Cathy taken in the hospital had circulated on various social media websites. Laraine suspected that the nurse was paid off by someone to capture a photo of her once news got out, she was injured. She did not mind the photo that much if Cathy had not been sitting beside her. She knew she would have to explain this one to Andrew again.          “Cathy, what’s wrong with you? I am absolutely appalled by your behavior. The Jones’ have made it perfectly clear they do not want to be associated with us, yet you still hound Laurence again and again!?” Baron was irritated when he saw the photo. He had thrown his phone across the room smashing it into the wall.    Cathy looked up at her father, with fear in her eyes. With the last issue about the party at Daisy’s still unresolved, this was just a cherry on top. She knew that her father was extremely pedantic; if she did not give a reasonable explanation now, he was going to do something drastic rather than just grounding her.      “Dad, please listen to me. It was not my fault.” Her eyes lit up a little and tears dropped from her eyes. She was hoping the tears would make her dad have pity on her.    “Not your fault!? After the last two stunts, I absolutely believe it is YOUR fault! YOU should have protected yourself from this! Why are you blaming things on that Laurence girl, she’s only eighteen!” Baron yelled back loudly. “Do you want our family to be ridiculed?”     “What did she do this time?” Nathan drawled as she strolled into the room. The sight of his father yelling at Cathy was becoming an increasingly common sight. Baron grunted and handed the photo to his son. “Look, she is with that Laurence girl again!”     Of course, Nathan had already seen that photo, and he agreed with their father that his sister was extremely stupid to go after Laurence again.   But he had a plan.
