Johanthon was sitting in his office chair behind his desk while Timber stood just to the right of him. Johnathon, not fully trusting the witches kept her close by. Andrew stood at the door while two more warriors stood just outside, just in case they were needed. Mother Cora and Mother Evelyn sat on the couch against the far wall, while Layana and Mother Lina sat in the chairs right in front of Johnathon and Timber.
Andrew never took his eyes off Layana while in the office. Rusty was just at the brink of pushing through but he knew better than to disobey his Alpha’s orders to stand down. Even if his mate was sitting right in front of him. Every so often Layana would glance over at him, feeling his eyes penetrating the side of her head.
