The rest of the night went relatively boring comparatively. Nyrissa followed Mandy into her bedroom in hopes of trying to find out what was going on between her and the two officers outside the room. But Mandy was unusually quiet. Nothing Nyrissa had tried had worked to loosen up Mandy's tongue.
By the time Ryan and Natalie had come back with pizza and beer, Nyrissa had given up.
"DINNER!" Natalie's voice echoed through the apartment.
Mandy winced and looked out towards the living room with obvious dread. Nyrissa put her hand on her friend's shoulder.
"Mandy, just tell me what's going on. Please?" Nyrissa begged her best friend.
Mandy just shook her head. "It's nothing, really. But if you think you all have this, then I'm gonna head home. I have to get up early tomorrow."
