"Mom? Dad? I'm home!" I yell into the house once I open my front door. Hmm? Guess nobody is here. I drop my duffel by the bench by the door and take a walk around the house. Nope. Nobody is here. Sigh. They knew I was coming home today. Oh well.
I instead head upstairs with my duffel and go to my room. Once inside I actually feel better about being home. I loved every minute being at my grandmothers house, my time at the ice cream shop, and my time with Wyatt, but, my home was the place that I missed the most.
"Hello bed my old friend" I plop and feel the comfiness that I had missed. My eyes start to shut but I hear my phone ringing. I look at the caller ID and shriek in excitement. It is a FaceTime call from Kev.
