Arden's POV
Watching what played out in front of my eyes in the hotel foyer just shocked me. Yet, anger boiled inside of me as Lana's mother walked away. My heart broke as Lana's expression was full of sadness. I couldn't believe what was happening, but as I approached the elevator, it closed with her in it.
When I finally got to her hotel room, she opened the door after I had knocked. She was devastated and my heart broke for her.
"Everything will be okay," I tried to sooth her in my arms on the ground. She was clinging onto my suit jacket. Her body was shaking with sobs. I remained silent and it was just her sniffles that were heard. "I am always here for you," I said, placing a kiss on the top of her head and she pulled away enough to look at me.
