The way my father had spoken, I knew something was wrong. I just didn’t know how bad it was till Jake stood to the side where our father was waiting.
Dad had told us what Alpha Sam had said and about the attack on his men. Everything in me tense at his words. Two guards stood near him, in wolf form.
“I want the three of you to check it out,” Dad had said, keeping his voice low. “I don’t want no one to know anything. You report back to me what you found out and if there are any survivors.”
Jake gave a nod, while I opened a link to my father. “Stay on link with me. I can tell you everything.”
My father nodded but said nothing.
