Leonard's wolf Lycan growled inside watching the pale girl lying there being exhausted.
"Claim her," Lycan growled once more but something stopped Leonard from watching the tear-stained face of her. She was lying there naked and bruised. Even though every single curve of her body was screaming high to manipulate him in the process of taking her, a part of his sanity denied the procedure right at that moment. Frustration was clear in his eyes yet he grabbed the duvet to cover her naked self. She was utterly destroying his peace of mind. Seth was correct. There should be some specific reason for which Tyler kept her daughter hidden for so long. He never allowed her to come back to Seattle and when she finally came back Tyler got panicked.
Leonard sat on the bed beside her sleeping form. There was nothing extra that he could do at that moment. Her already drained-out body spoke of her condition. He placed his two fingers below her nose and then pressed them on her neck. Both of his actions resulted in one thing. She was alive but lost her senses.
Cursing a little he stood up from the bed to walk outside the room. Seth was already standing there with a questionable feature along with Derek. Derek's eyes were searching for an answer from him and also his ears were longing to hear the command of Alpha.
Leonard walked past them in another direction without uttering a single thing. When Alex blocked his way to demand an answer Leonard decided to drop the matter.
"Send a maid to fix her and drop her to the dungeon."
Alex didn't understand much but the word fix spoke a lot. Derek's face lit up as he walked towards Leonard and bowed his head to place his request.
"Alpha, can I have her now?" Lust was dripping from his voice and Seth was smirking watching his restlessness. Barely twenty-four hours had been passed since the girl stepped inside and everyone was getting high to have her.
Leonard looked at Derek and maintained his rich dark voice to clear some facts.
"I am not done with her."
Alex's eyes snapped open towards his brother who had declared his intentions clearly and Derek couldn't help but accept the fact. No one is allowed to question Alpha and everyone knows how brutal Leonard could be. Dropping his head down Derek left the place.
Alex walked in the other direction and called two maids. When he was done instructing them, Seth came with another bunch of information.
Tyler was found actively seeking help from other packs to save his daughter. Even though he was marked as Rogue, he was hell-bent to prove his daughter's innocence. Hearing the recent news Alex got pissed off. If Leonard came to know the situation, he wouldn't mind bringing hell to the girl. But all of them knew she was Rogue's daughter and she would be another danger for the pack.
Alex left with Seth and the maids entered 's room. This was the first time they had discovered a woman in his room, rather a young girl lying under a duvet. Leonard had never allowed anyone to be in his room except his brother Alex. The unknown girl's presence brought creases on their forehead.
One of the maids pulled down the duvet and immediately placed her hand on the mouth to suppress her scream.
"Oh god. What happened to her."
They both saw her hands still tied in a belt to the bedpost. Her lips were busted and the red bite marks on her upper body and neck made her look way too violated. She looked like some sort of victim who had been beaten up or tortured.
Another maid moved her hands to silence her. They knew no one could go against Alpha. Immediately they removed the belt and freed her hands. They had bruises and cuts. One of them arranged a normal dress to make her wear. After that, they m, managed to pull her up from the bed. Even though they were not interested in taking the girl down in the basement, they had to follow to save themselves. Dragging Iris's unconscious body they mumbled some wish for her survival. Once they reached the basement, one of the guards opened a gate to make them put Iris in the dark cell. Watching her already drained out condition they didn't bother to clamp her hands or legs. They left her there informing the guards to keep an eye on her.
Tyler was sitting inside a cabin with two other men in front of him. It was his third attempt within this thirty-six hours to get her daughter out. He promised his wife in her death bed to protect Iris from everything. He kept her hidden for so many years fearing this situation and when that finally happened he couldn't help but curse himself. He failed as a father, he had failed as a husband too.
The man sitting at the opposite of the desk noticed Tyler's lost state. Snapping his finger brought him back to reality. Tyler jolted at him and looked at the man who was in his early thirties. He was none other than Alpha Kohen from Southern Pack.
"Tyler, or King of Rogues, what should I call you?" Koren mocked his situation and Tyler couldn't help but fist his palm. If his daughter wasn't in the clutches of Alpha Leonard, he would have smashed Koren's face in a second.
"Kohen, you know I am no longer a Rogue. That one single action of mine had nothing to do with. I spent twenty years seeking forgiveness. I detached myself from everything related to the werewolf pack. What should I do to make you all believe that I am no longer a Rogue."
Tyler knew his mistake but that was long back. Of course, Alpha's blood runs in his veins too. But since he lost Olivia he realized this being a werewolf is not easy. It is more of a curse than a boon. He was happy when he realized his daughter hadn't shifted till now making him believe that she doesn't have her wolf inside. He was happy to see her as a normal human being but at that moment he was regretting that fact knowing what sort of tortures she would have to endure in Leonard's prison. At least a wolf heals quickly but she is a fragile human and his little daughter.
"A Rogue remains a Rogue. No matter what...." Kohen couldn't complete his sentence when Tyler cut him in the middle.
"I didn't betray my pack or anyone. I chose someone for love and we both decided to live a peaceful life."
"But ended up losing everything that you have right? First Olivia, now Iris." Kohen purposely rubbed salt on his open wounds.
The mere mention of Iris and Olivia made Tyler vulnerable. Tears gathered up in his eyes as he banged his fist on the table and stood up immediately.
"Iris is innocent and Olivia was also."
Two of Kohen's guards immediately came towards the desk and held Tyler down, noticing his sudden outburst. They were not ready to take any chance with Tyler knowing that he could be lethal sometimes.
"Easy Tyler. Are you forgetting that you are standing in front of an Alpha?" Kohen glared at him.
"No. But you shouldn't also forget that Iris is my only daughter and Olivia was my wife. No power can stop a father from protecting his only child. The day you would become a father you would feel the pain when you would lose your only daughter."
"It was your fault Tyler," Kohen shouted in his face because Tyler's words hit him hard. He hadn't got his pup till now and he was utterly worried about continuing his legacy.
"But Iris is innocent. She is not even a wolf. She hasn't shifted till now."
Tyler shouted back even after knowing Kohen could easily kill him for such behavior. But he cared less knowing that he could go to any length to bring Iris back.
"But she is a Rogue's daughter." Kohen scratched his light beard while looking at Tyler's face. For a second he stopped and looked at Tyler's eyes. Those pupils had a pleading, a pleading to save his daughter.
"Leave him," Kohen ordered his guards who were still holding Tyler as a prisoner.
"I can't go against Leonard. Rather none of the pack can go against the Dark Moon Pack knowing how powerful they are. Rather every single pack had received help from them in their needs."
Kohen looked straight at Tyler to make him understand how pathetic the situation was to dig in.
"I am not asking for a war. Kill me but bring my daughter back. Let her leave this city and this werewolf world. This is not for her."
Tyler was determined to send off her daughter to any place but Seattle. He wanted her to leave this werewolf, pack situation by any means. He had kept her in the dark for eighteen years and now he can't just push her in that mud.
"Tyler, you are delusional at this moment. Leonard would not leave her until he is done."
"She won't survive. If you all want to wash your hands with the blood of an innocent kid who just turned eighteen then I might say the packs are the biggest symbol of injustice. Moon Goddess would curse every single one for this sin."
Tyler again lost his temper and he didn't know what would be kohen's next step.
Kohen seemed pissed off with Tyler's words. Even though they hadn't seen Tyler's daughter but the way Tyler was thrashing around, he could clearly understand how badly Tyler was suffering.
"What did Leonard say when he was taking her away?" Kohen lowered his tone a little to ask Tyler some other questions. He knew there were still some Rogues left who wouldn't mind helping Tyler to get his daughter back. He also knew one pack was still left who had an intense rivalry with Dark Moon Pack and the Alpha of the pack is Daniel. Daniel is a man with no morals and if he gets a chance to attack Leonard he won't mind doing that irrespective of the reasons he was given. Now Kohen had two options in his hand. Letting Tyler go to Daniel to make the situation worse or keeping Tyler in an illusion that he would help. If he chooses the second option, things would be less complicated and Daniel would have less reason to attack their clans.
Tyler narrowed his eyes hearing his question. When he didn't reply Kohen asked him again about Leonard's plan. He knew Leonard would have mentioned what he would do with Iris.
"He talked about making her his slave."
Tyler spoke, hanging his head down when fat tears started dropping on the desk. Kohen's eyes widened hearing the word "Slave". If Leonard had planned of making Iris a slave and if Tyler was speaking the truth about his daughter being a human, then no way Iris would be alive. She would eventually die soon. Dark Moon pack was famous for treating their slaves most inhumanly. Even though they don't torture someone without reason, but if they make someone ann ave then that is considered the worst. If death seems better in that situation. And Leonard preferred turning the Rogues in Slaves.
"Are you sure your daughter doesn't have her wolf inside? Does Leonard know that?" Kohen became a little worried once his eyes fell on the picture Tyler placed long back on the desk. As none of the pack members had seen his daughter, he brought a picture to show them to get her out of Leonard's prison.
"I told Leonard that she is human but he seemed to be ignorant of the fact."
Kohen's eyes stuck on the picture of the girl who had a warm smile holding a small puppy in her arms. Her ocean-blue eyes were so deep that he could feel himself drowning in them. The honey brown curls were cascading down making it looks like some unrestrained waves. In a word, she was the epitome of innocence and beauty. How could someone be so perfect? Kohen asked in his mind.
"Kohen..." Tyler called his name when he realized he took longer than usual to admire a Rogue's daughter.
"Fine. I think I got something to at least try. But..." Kohen stopped looking at Tyler with a small smirk.
Tyler's eyes narrowed as he begged him next.
"But what?"
"But you have to accept what I would suggest," Kohen replied, holding the picture of Iris in his hand.
