A sudden howl erupted from behind, causing Kate and Evelyn to halt in their tracks. Kevin and Bjorn looked into each other.
"I can't contact my team," Bjorn whispered.
"I'll stay behind," Kevin said.
"No, I'm staying. Go with Luna and Ms. Evelyn. That was my team I left back there. I will stop them here," Bjorn responded.
"Can't you guys both come with us?" Kate asked, her lips quivering.
"We don't want them following us, Luna, not when you're with us," Bjorn said. "Kevin, go," he added. Kevin clenched his hand into a fist and nodded.
"Luna, Ms. Evelyn, let's go," Kevin urged. Kate nervously bit her lower lip. Despite her reluctance to leave Bjorn behind, she spun around and sprinted away for the sake of the warrior, wanting to protect them by staying back. Minutes later, they
