Two years later
After Ace met with the alliance, the couple got ready for their flight to Edgedale, where they would celebrate their second wedding anniversary and where Ace had purchased a villa by the beach as a surprise gift for his wife.
Kate was shocked, but Ace pleaded with her to accept it, and she ultimately agreed.
Kate nervously hid the small box, her gift for her husband, within her luggage while Ace was engrossed in conversation with Owen. She took a deep breath and pulled her suitcase away.
