Okafu gasped, and took a step away from him.
Ren’s grasp tightened for a minute but he let her go.
They stared at each other. Tension thrummed around them, and Okafu felt a shiver run through her as if a mini earth quake erupted within her making her aware of every part of her body.
She bit the inside of her as the tendrils of panic attack swirled and uncurled within her.
I need to get out of here, Okafu thought.
She must have looked panicked, because Ren stepped closer to her. He leaned down his lips coming to her ear.
Heat bloomed on her skin – she shivered.
“Go to the bathroom, take a moment and get yourself together. I’ll be waiting for you,” he said in a roughened voice that caused goosebumps to dot her skin.
Okafu nodded, but stopped in her tracks.
