When Ishir and Avani returned, Avani said that they ran into a place where he could feel the magic, but he wasn’t able to remove it. Even flying and trying to go around it, they couldn’t catch the scent or trail of the witch and warlock, so they lost them. They even took Cedric and several Alpha wolves out to see if they could catch the scent, but the magic was strong and they weren’t able to continue following them.
Kenna and Yhendorn didn’t return for several more days, which meant that I got to spend my days with Emmi and Phoenix, and a large portion of my nights as well. After the second time of Phoenix burning off Emmi’s clothes, I told her she had to stop.
“We have to wait for Emmi to be ready, Phoenix. I refuse to push her into something that she isn’t ready or willing to do.”
