Carl had actually become an advocate for the Overlord of the Demons.
While this probably meant that it would be even harder for Carl to free himself from the control of a higher being, Bryant also had to admit that Carl had managed to basically turn the tables on him. He could no longer control the young man, and Carl could use the authority and might of the Overlord of the Demons to overpower him.
Carl grinned at Bryant and commanded the lich, “Bryant, take me back to the castle.”
“Yes, sir.” Bryant hesitated as he teleported Carl back to the castle with great reluctance.
Hervor was still sleeping peacefully on the couch. Carl had actually only left her side for a few hours, but he felt like an eternity had passed.
