Camden was gaining more and more power, and the pressure that Carl felt was about to suffocate him. Carl finally realized how frightening a shaman could really be. On top of absorbing all the blood from the dead soldiers, a strange illusion began to form behind the shaman, as if all the blood was helping him conjure a magical beast of sorts. As the illusion became more and more defined, Carl felt like he was being watched by a vicious animal, the sensation of which caused his hair to stand on end. He looked more carefully at the illusion and got a terrible shock. A gigantic bat had suddenly appeared behind Camden.
