The other mercenary soldiers paled and looked horrified after they realized that they could not recall anything either. The craziest part was that if Carl had not brought this question up, none of them would have realized that part of their memory had been missing all this time.
Carl had asked only because he had discovered that Don’s wound was very strange and did not seem like a simple superficial wound. He did not expect his innocent question to trigger such a reaction from everyone on board.
Their horrified expressions piqued Carl’s curiosity. “Are all of you unable to remember anything, at all?”
Gabriel went into a panic as he tried his best to recall. “I think we accepted a request, then… Wait, who put up this request?”
