Carl found some random reason to refuse Hervor’s kind offer to escort him all the way to Philida City. After he had eaten dinner and his body had fully absorbed the medicine, a lethargic feeling overcame him and he returned to the ship to rest. Pudding had already rested enough and woken up, so Carl could sleep easy knowing that his pet snake would protect him from harm.
