This disruption in plans caused Betsy quite a bit of frustration. She was not a hardhearted person and she too really wanted to help fight the skeleton monsters trying to attack the fortress. What she was worried about was that if they tried to help, the Observers would notice them and keep tabs on them. That would make it difficult for them to actually enter the devils' plane and do anything.
While she was still mulling over what to do, an old man with a white beard and dressed in a white robe with gold hems suddenly flew from the fortress into the air. In that instant, a brilliant and dazzling light shot out from his body in all directions.
A terrifying surge of energy went out from the fortress. As the light shone down, the never-ending wave of skeleton monsters were suddenly frozen.
