Aiden's words haunted me, I couldn't stop thinking of what he said.
"How many times did I ask you to go inside?"
"You believed him and wouldn't listen to me"
"You were quick to take his side without any thought or care of what it did to me..."
The look of profound despair on his face when he told me he would accept my rejection would remain etched in my mind for a long time.
The air in my lungs felt tight.
