Ava’s POV I thought I could hold it back. When the sparks started crawling over my arm, I told myself to breathe, to fight it but no matter how hard I tried, it wasn’t enough. It felt like something inside me had snapped open, a storm ripping free and I couldn’t shut it again. I heard the recruits screaming. I saw the warriors shielding them but I couldn’t stop.
