My eyes glide over the screen as I go through the reports the manager I’d assigned had just sent in. Everything looks promising. No…. It’s way better than promising. We’re growing at an insane rate.
We’ve already secured a spot in the top three wealthiest enterprises in the entire country. Top three. And Hunterika’s sitting pretty in second place. Just a little more, and we’ll beat that final hurdle. I can feel it. It’s only a matter of time before we claim the number one spot.
My fingers hover over the keyboard, ready to type a reply, when the door suddenly bursts open.
My heart skips. I freeze, quickly lifting my head to the entrance only to see-
“L…Leah?” I blink, startled. “What are you doing here? Weren’t you with your patients?”
