I couldn't help but sit back and smirk as Anne's mom threatened me. Anne so got her attitude from her mom. The two women were the first ever, I was sure that if I were to piss them off enough, they would hold true to their threats. And it wasn't just me that was scared of Anne when she got going. I had never seen Diggs back down to anyone, especially not a woman. No matter how pissed off they were. But Anne lying in her hospital bed, had him heel like a dog sitting at attention, waiting for its master to give their next orders.
Brinda didn't finish her threat, but she didn't have to. I could fill in the rest. Still, I waited for her to fall completely silent before nodding my head and standing from my chair.
