MICHAEL PULLED ANN a little closer as he watched his family celebrate the festival. He missed his mother terribly at times like these. All those events he knew she complained about arranging but loved so deeply to see her people so happy. His parents went through so much in their lives that they deserved whatever peace they have now.
Michael sighed and took Ann’s hand. If his sister could dance in the early morning, so could he. His mother’s words rang through his mind each time they had one of these moments.
“Don’t let work take over your life. Don’t forget to live and to enjoy your family.” She said those words so long ago that he couldn’t remember how they got to that conversation, but he never forgot her words and he made sure he spent enough time with his family.
