Ellie is becoming stronger with each day. She’s crying less and smiling more. Even though those smiles are for the children and not me, I cherish them, knowing that someday one may be for me. Someday.
She’s let me sleep in the bed with her but always situates Ulf between us as a barrier. Still, it is closer than being in the other room, and I am thankful for the steps she has taken to let me in.
